What's New in the Documentation Library

Introducing the Updated Documentation Library

We've been hard at work improving the Kinetic Platform documentation, and we're excited to show you the first set of many changes to come!

New Documentation Library URL

The documentation library has moved from community.kineticdata.com to docs.kineticdata.com. Redirects will be put in place to ensure your existing bookmarks continue to function, but we recommend updating them going forward.

New Look and Feel

Overview pages for expansive topics are in the process of being updated to use tabs, separating the information provided into sections that match what's presented in the Platform. This will make it easier to find the information you're looking for without the need for excessive scrolling. We've also updated the library's design to match the design updates in the Platform.

Alignment with kinops Release Cycle

Starting with the release of Consoles 6.0.0, the documentation library will use the current kinops release as the basis for instructions and screenshots. Customers on earlier releases may notice that some information does not directly correspond to their user interface.

Note: Major differences in functionality will be called out through notes. Earlier versions of the documentation will be reviewed and updated once updates to the current release are complete.

Addition of Best Practices

A Best Practices section has been added to some recently updated topics; these sections will be expanded as further updates are made to the library.

Update Announcements

Updates to specific topics will be tracked on this page, making it easy to determine whether a topic has changed since the last time you read it.

Suggest Edits

We encourage you to use the "Did this page help you?" function at the bottom of each topic to let us know your thoughts. You can also email [email protected] directly with any comments or requests.
